Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson – Apt. #2B
by Kate Hamill | September 21–24
Ms. Hamill’s play “simultaneously plays homage to and flips on its head the detective story tropes to show what happens when women are in charge." –BroadwayWorld.
This not-to-be-missed comedy, Ms. Holmes and Ms. Watson – Apt. #2B, cheerfully desecrates the stories of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and re-examines the world’s most famous detective story with a bold new feminist lens. Set in jolly old London of 2021, Sherlock (French for not Shirley) Holmes enlists the assistance of her new flat mate Joan Watson in unraveling the mysteries of the day. Steam along with this dynamic duo as they take on The Case of the Speckled Band, The Adventure of the Blue Goose, and finally unlock the secrets of the human heart. Directed by Laurie Thomas, FUSION’s production stars Jacqueline Reid, Tiffany Cole, Kane Distler, and Wendy Scott.
The Height of the Storm
by Florian Zeller & Translated by Christopher Hampton | November 9–19
"The indignities of age escape no one, it seems, even the long-married elderly couple at the center of Florian Zeller's deliberately jarring but deeply moving new drama The Height of the Storm." - The Wrap
André and Madeleine have been in love for over fifty years. This weekend, as their daughters visit, something feels unusual. A bunch of flowers arrive, but who sent them? A woman from the past turns up, but who is she? And why does André feel like he isn't there at all? Christopher Hampton's translation of Florian Zeller's The Height of the Storm opened in the West End in October of 2018, and had a limited Broadway engagement that concluded in November 2019. FUSION's production, directed by Jacqueline Reid, is the first off of the Broadway stage. The cast includes: Paul Blott, Laurie Thomas, Amelia Ampuero, Angela Littleton, Rachel Wiseman and Matthew Yde.
