New Mexico StageWorks
Pre-Professional Theatre Intensive
SUMMER CAMP | MONDAYS–FRIDAYS, JULY 7–25 | 9 AM–3:30 PM | RISING FRESHMAN–RECENT GRADUATES (~14–18) | $ 900
Need-based Scholarships Available!
Experience top tier pre-professional training through the rehearsal process and educational intensives culminating in a full-length production, PETER AND THE STARCATCHER by Rick Elice. Come prepare for the stage and beyond! At New Mexico StageWorks, it is our goal to give young actors a professional stage experience. This summer intensive is accepting rising freshman students through newly graduated high school seniors. In three weeks, we will rehearse and perform a full-length production, where students will fill every role—from lead to ensemble to sound and lights.
Not only that, but alongside of rehearsals, students will experience intensives led by theater professionals currently working in the industry. Topics covered will range from audition technique, choreography, slating, improvisation, monologue work for auditions, vocal coaching, and more!
This opportunity from New Mexico StageWorks is for students who want a summer of growth and fulfillment in a safe and welcoming environment. If you are just beginning your theatre career or preparing for college and the professional world beyond, we will help you rise above and feel prepared to shine. The acceptance rate for theatre arts programs is typically lower than 10%, with top schools having a rate of less than 1%. Let us help you prepare to be part of that 1%! Whether you have a lot of experience or are desiring a serious exposure to the theatre arts, you are welcome here!
Consider this opportunity if you are...
–Preparing for college auditions
–Desire a role in your high school show
–Curious about what it takes to be serious about theatre arts
