New Mexico Academy of Rock & Blues presents New Mexico at Christmastime, Las Posadas traditions
Youth ages 7-17 are invited to participate in a fun 2-day workshop and final performance with New Mexico Academy of Rock & Blues! December 21, 1 - 5 p.m. and December 22, 1 - 5 p.m. (Performance 4:30 p.m. on December 22!)
This two-day seminar, taking place at FUSION, will include traditional music, story-telling, the cultural history of Las Posadas, making of luminarias and more. Our seminar will conclude in a performance and presentation, including traditional NM holiday fare. Come prepared to follow up our Las Posadas procession with traditional Holiday caroling!
This seminar is for youth ages 7-17. A $15 dollar suggested donation per student is appreciated but not required. We will have a donation box at the door for families who are able to donate. Students will be able to choose their form of expression. They will have the options of performing guitar, percussion, writing lyrics, and story-telling.
