FUSION Social Club November 15
On November 15th, Liz Fritzsche will visit FUSION Social Club as our featured guest. Liz is a visual artist and retired educator who has been part of art community in New Mexico since mid 70s. She spent her summer making dinnerware and selling at the Downtown Grower's Market twice a month. Currently she is working in her North Valley studio preparing a body of work for an upcoming exhibition at the Center for the Arts in Crested Butte in February 2025. Liz will share her studio process and Artist Residency experiences in both Japan and China.
ABOUT FUSION SOCIAL CLUB
Spend an hour every other Wednesday in FUSION’s spirited 708 space. All are welcome to gather together to explore art, theatre, music, food, travel, events of the day, literature, and the world of film. Laurie Thomas, FUSION Co-founder, leads the group In an hour-long journey of discussion with featured guests . This Wednesday, November 15 at 10:00 am in the 708 Lobby. ABOUT ELIZABETH FRITZSCHE
Elizabeth Fritzsche came to New Mexico to attend UNM in the mid 70's and instantly called it home. She was a founding member of Albuquerque United Artists back in 1978 and continues to be an active member of the New Mexico arts community.
Liz participated in International Artist Residencies in Takeo, Japan in 2000, and in Jingdezhen, China in 2007. She taught art at both public and private schools for 37 years until her retirement in 2021.
Fritzsche’s sculpture and ceramic work have been shown extensively in the Southwest and internationally at the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe, The Albuquerque Museum, The New Mexico Capital Collection, The Amarillo Art Museum, Foothills Art Center in Golden, Colorado, The International Ceramic Museum of Jingdezhen, China, and in Takeo, Japan.
