SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER: VOICES FROM BEYOND THE DARK by Ariel Dorfman
FUSION presents a staged reading of Speak Truth to Power: Voices from Beyond the Dark by Ariel Dorfman in concert with the Albuquerque Museum’s exhibition, Dictators and The Disappeared. Written by Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Ariel Dorfman, the play was originally commissioned by the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights. This compelling play is based on real interviews with forty-two human rights activists from around the world, such as Ecuador, Myanmar, India, and the United States. Seven FUSION actors will bring these stories of challenge and courage to life through a staged reading on July 21st at 7 PM at FUSION | 708.
Starring: Rhiannon Frazier, Angela Littleton, Alicia Lueras Maldonado, Malcom Stokes, Matthew Van Wettering, Anthony J. Zamora, and Rick Ortega.
WARNING: This play includes graphic descriptions of violence, torture, and sexual assault.
