ABQ Indie Film Festival 2023
We are excited to announce that the ABQ Indie Film Festival (AIFF) 2023 will take place on the 30th of July at FUSION. With a powerful and diverse screening program of shorts and features by filmmakers from around the globe, AIFF once again brings international independent cinema to the heart of New Mexico.
Loyal to their mission to showcase the best of indie cinema, the film selection consists of various genres including fiction, documentary, and animated films. The AIFF is proud to serve as a connecting platform for the film community. As always, the screening program showcases both upcoming and established filmmakers including among others student films and newcomers’ creations.
The feature narrative Róise & Frank by Rachael Moriarty and Peter Murphy, which opens the festival, is a 2022 Irish comedy-drama starring Bríd Ní Neachtain that has been described as a fun exploration of the various stages of grief. The multi-awarded The Secret of Mr. Nostoc and Object of Life which compete in the Best Short Animation category, are bound to entertain you and highlight the power of animated films. This year’s Festival ends with Jeremy Stewart’s First Time, which competes in the Best Short category.
