AMP Concerts Presents Mem Shannon

AMP Concerts is bringing Mem Shannon to FUSION | The Cell on Wednesday, December 18th, at 7:30 PM (doors at 6:30 PM). All ages are welcome! Tickets are $25.

Mem Shannon is a former 15-year Bourbon Street cab driver who emerged onto the scene in 1996 with his first release, A Cab Driver's Blues, on Hannibal/Rykodisc. The breakthrough buzz album led to national media coverage from folks like ABC World News, CBS Sunday Morning, CNN, E! Entertainment Television, The New York Times, and NPR.

Mem has released six albums worldwide (two on Rykodisc, two on Shanachie, and two on Northern Blues). He has won or been nominated for a ton of "Best Of" awards for Louisiana music and national blues—including several Blues Music Association (formerly W.C. Handy Award) nominations.

While Mem's music is rooted in the blues, it's soaked through with that Big Easy syncopated sound, oozing with funk.

Tickets cost $25 in advance, $30 day of show (plus service charges). They are also available by phone through Hold My Ticket at 505-886-1251.

This show is sponsored by Doug Peterson in honor of his wife Sue's 70th birthday.
