Sonicality Workshop with Agnieszka Kazimierska
Encounters through singing, sounding, and movement
Guided by Agnieszka Kazimierska, this two-day workshop is an invitation to meet your vocality as a doorway toward playfulness and creativity. It’s an invitation to meet your inner sonic landscapes. You will use imagination and sound as a way of connecting to yourself and interacting with others.
You will use attention, movement, and sound to amplify experiences. You will enter into the flux of constantly arising perceptions and express them through singing.
The work sessions will become a playground for exploring your subjective world of experiences and associations through sound and singing. Inviting your voice to play, you will go beyond the affirmed canons of vocal practices and away from the lens of “doing it right”.
The workshop is addressed to anyone interested in personal exploration of sound and singing. You don’t need to be a singer or think you know how to sing in order to participate.
Some of the elements that you will approach with the guidance of Agnieszka are texture and resonance of sound; connection between the sound and imagination, movement, and intention; singing; and body memory.
The sessions will include:
Guided explorations (with sound)
Moments of singing songs as an ensemble
Moments of intuitive vocal improvisation that will evolve from the guided explorations
