SHIRLEY: 110 Short Plays by Erik Ehn

Erik Ehn presents SHIRLEY, 110 short plays for Shirley, the writer’s mother, who passed away recently, presented as a lightly staged reading, over a four-hour span, with a break in the middle and a talk-back after. Come to FUSION | 708 on July 13 (one day only) from 2–6 PM.

The event is a reflection on mortality, responsibility, forgiveness, and complex love. The form explores the diverse impacts of mourning on the imagination. Ultimately joyful, playful and hopeful, the set of generally tiny scripts are strewn petals as much as scattered ashes.

Snacks will be provided!

Cast:

Sheldon Blackhorse, Russell Casados II, Erik Ehn, Andi Gutske, Juli Hendren, Michael Lente, Madrone Matishak, Rose Meizlesh, and Mónica Sánchez.
