Figure Drawing ABQ at FUSION

Come to FUSION | The Cell every Wednesday from 6–8:30 PM for a figure drawing session. Study from a live unclothed model with a classical art approach with no adornment, draping, or garments unless requested by the model. 

This is an inclusive and respectful community. They welcome artists of all skill levels and from all backgrounds, creeds, races, genders, and orientations. Discrimination, aggression, disruptive behavior, or bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. 

All dry mark-making materials (graphite, charcoal, pastel, etc.) as well as pens and markers are allowed. Watercolors are also permitted but must be accompanied by a drop cloth and materials to clean any spills. Odor-producing solvents, paints, aerosol/spray cans, or mediums are not permitted. Tables, chairs, and a few easels are available. Participants are welcome to bring portable or desktop easels.

Figure Drawing ABQ is every Wednesday, from 6:00 to 8:30 PM unless otherwise notified (please see contact information below for weekly scheduling). Sessions are $10 plus a model tip if possible.

This week’s session is Wednesday, July 31, at 6 PM.

 
 

SESSION FORMAT
The evening is separated into twenty minute segments consisting of progressively longer poses ending with three twenty-minute poses. Please arrive in time to set up before the 6:00 start time.

Segment 1: four 1 min. poses; three 2 min. poses; two 5 min. poses; ten min. break
Segment 2: two 10 min. poses; ten min. break
Segment 3: one 20 min. pose; ten min. break
Segment 4: one 20 min. pose; ten min. break
Segment 5: one 20 min. pose
