NMARB and Youth Arts Ambassadors' Council Project Spring 2025
Beginning Storytelling and Art Class (ages 8-11)
NMARB’s New Mexico Youth Arts Ambassadors has a fun new workshop starting in February at FUSION, which is specially created for young storytellers and artists. This workshop is limited to 10 students, so sign up soon!
The Spring 2025 semester for ages 8–11 will focus on storytelling through creative writing and visual arts. Youth Arts’ Ambassadors will meet weekly on Thursday afternoons from 3–4 PM at the acclaimed FUSION (located at 708 1st Street) unless otherwise noted on the calendar.
Workshops will be led by co-director Ana and their incredible youth intern, Aspen. This workshop is free, thanks to funding from One Albuquerque. This is a drop-off program, but parents who wish to stay on campus can access Novel Point Coffee. They are open until 4 PM!
The program begins February 27, 2025, and is FREE. Donations are always appreciated, allowing NMARB to create a more dynamic program of mentors and experiences.
Program Directors: Ana Romero-Sanchez BA: Community Organizer/Educator, Homeschool Educator, and Founder of the New Mexico Academy of Rock and Blues, as well as New Mexico Youth Arts Ambassadors. Keith Sanchez MA: Community Organizer/Educator, Co-Founder of NMARB/NMYAA, UNM PhD student in Chicana/Chicano Studies, ELA/Bilingual Ed./CCS Teacher RFK Charter High School.
